On-line Education
The Health Ethics Trust began offering on-line courses for compliance professionals in 2007 in order to meet the needs of professionals to earn certification status and to gain education while hampered by limited travel budgets. Our on-line offerings are not intended to be a simplified or condensed version of our in-person programs. They are intended to be full courses and to incorporate to the extent possible all of the features of these courses when given in-person. Most courses offer two levels of certification credit. A participant may receive 4 credits (half day credit) by completing the course and passing the quiz at the end of the course. The quiz is “open book” in that you can review course materials any number of times before taking the quiz. A participant can receive 8 credits (one day) by completing the course and passing both the quiz and the essay exam. The first of our on-line offerings is the Hotlines and Investigations Course. This course provides in-depth education on all aspects of hotline operation and conducting follow up investigations. We will soon be introducing the Compliance Officers Course in on-line format. This course covers the basic issues involved in operations as an effective compliance program. |
